For Great Education and Even Greater Kids
Why I Am Running
My name is Chris Kwapick and I am running for a seat on the Roseville Area School Board. I have lived in Little Canada for the past 12 years with my wife, Laurie and two children Heidi and Henry, who both attend Parkview Center School in Roseville. Like many families, the COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges for us trying to manage work, school, and public health safety. While being consistently faced with extraordinary problems and decisions, I truly feel that the school district, teachers, staff, and families have actively stepped up to face these challenges head on. It is with that mindset of service and collaboration that I am humbly asking for your support and vote this November 2nd.
The mindset of collaboration is present in almost everything I do. It takes the collective work of people in a community to make active change. As a member of the Little Canada Planning Commission since 2017, I have seen firsthand how proactive interaction can create positive outcomes in our community. As a higher education administrator at the U of M who works with policy and governance, I know that people respond better to proposed changes when they know they have a seat at the table. It is my hope to use my position as a father and community leader as a voice for as many neighbors as I can to ensure that our children have the greatest opportunities to achieve, no matter what challenge faces them next.
